We are beyond excited to announce that OMG promotions will be traveling to the Junebug Ranch in Cookeville Tennessee to not only attend the legendary Muddy Roots festival – we also have the honor of documenting it for you with media approval.
Muddy Roots began back in 2010, and as far as we’re aware they’re the only DIY, independent festival left in the US post-covid. Having expanded to a European festival as well in 2012, all of the Muddy Roots music festivals feature music of varying genres, includingย country, blues,ย rock,ย rockabilly,ย punk,ย bluegrass, andย metal and folk. There is literally something here for everyone, with a very low key “family” vibe. Hands down this was the CLEANEST and smoothest run fest that we’ve attended of any size with pristine camping, clean porto pots, and a huge group of folks who take “just don’t be a dick” very seriously. Bonus? Muddy Roots has not one but TWO fantastic waterfalls on property to cool off during those hot days!
